Story: K. Raghavendra Rao and Chiranjeevi reunited after the Mugguru Monagallu debacle for this avgerage grossing fare that was produced by R. K. Films. Chiru (Vijay) and Sakshi Sivanand are best friends. They share their thoughts, happiness and pain with each other. One day she finds love in a photographer (Suresh) and marries him, while Vijay plays a lover boy and marries Ramya Krishna. However, Sakshi’s happiness ends when she finds out that her husband is two-timing her. Vijay consoles her but his wife is unhappy that he spends so much time with her and gives him an ultamatim. He chooses his friend and takes care of her and her unborn child and later reunites her with her husband. Chiru played a very uncharacteristic soft role. There was no heroic angle to his role in the sense with which his fans are used to, but he gives an excellent performance. At times one does not feel as if he is watching a Chiru film except while enjoying the wonderful dancing and the comic drunken scene, yet Chiru still impresses with his very underplayed performance. He shows he can do any role with ease. The rest of cast performed well. Raghavendra Rao has not been as great as he was and he did an ok job but someone else would have been better. Mani Sharma’s music is excellent, in particular the songs, “Dekh Baba” and “Hey Ruku Ruku,” for which Rambha made a special appearance

Story:
The story starts in the year 1965, when Indra’s grandfather who is a leader in rayalaseema is killed by rival family(Siva reddy) in a typical seema battle.
Next generation comesup and Indra’s father and uncle are also killed in a similar manner.Indra, who was a kid at the time, grows up and is shown in the holy city varanasi, as a taxi driver, Shankar narayan who lives with his sister’s children and an orphan.
Indra’s nephew falls in love with a muslim girl, who is inturn daughter of a local muslim leader Shaukat Ali (puneet issar).When bought onto a dias she rejects his love fearing her father.
Indra’s nephew is whipped by Shaukat Ali in front of a gathering, but is stopped by Indra and he decides to take the beatings as the person belongs to his family.The girl attempts suicide and her father finds a letter expressing her love. He apologizes to Indra and decides to marry them, and they become friends.Sonali, who is a student in benaras university, is the daughter of governer(prakash raj).She falls in love with Indra, pretends as an orphan and stays with Indra’s family.Prakash raj, who was a former collecter in Cudappah district attacks shankar narayan with force and realizes that he is none other than Indra.
He bows his head and pleads Indra to marry his daughter as she is in love with him. Indra says that without marrying off his niece he wouldn’t marry at all.Then he realizes that his niece is in love with the orphan(Gopi) who was boughtup by him and decides to perform their marriage.
Aarti agarwal enters with a powerful introduction to stop this marriage, leaving Indra’s neice pregnant and reveals to everyone’s shock that Gopi is one of the family members of Siva Reddy.Here comes the flashback, and we’re shown how Indra grewup to become a faction leader in seema.
He intends to perform a Jala yagnam to end the water problem forever and donates his entire property for it.But his enemies kill family members of Indra, and Indra takes revenge by killing opposition members, who are inturn aarti’s family.Thus, their marriage breaks..
Now, shankar Narayan returns to seema as Indra, and how he solves his niece’s marriage problem and also the seemingly never ending factionism forms the climax of the movie.
The lead scenes to climax are well picturized and climax, with a message is the best so far in faction oriented movies .
